ABOUT
Rith Bonrotanak, known as Rotanak, is a visionary Cambodian artist, architect, and actor whose distinctive artistic style–Particlization–fuses colorful and imaginative designs with Khmer sensibilities through precise hand-drawn images that transform everyday objects and iconic cultural symbols into intricate, layered compositions that invite all to explore the hidden beauty and richness of each object’s life history.
In 2024, Rotanak debuted his captivating solo exhibition, “The Particles,” at Sra Art Gallery, which led Prestige Magazine to recognize him as a rising creative voice in Cambodia. He was also hand-selected for a group exhibition, “A Circle of Life”, at Villa Gallery and one of only two artists chosen to design Rosewood Hotel’s inaugural Khmer-artist calendar, his first major commercial partnership.
Since then, Rotanak has continued to receive acclaim. In January 2025, he secured first place in the Digital Art category at the prestigious Ekarieach Multi-Art Competition organized by Sofitel Phnom Penh. Later that year, he also earned second place at the “Color Outside the Lines” competition at Sosoro Art Gallery among a vast array of traditional pieces. Most recently, he debuted his novel mixed-media digital artwork that reflects Khmer culture and proverbs at the “On Being a Woman” group exhibition organized by AmCham Cambodia.
In addition to his artistic pursuits, he holds degrees in Architecture and Urbanization from the Royal University of Fine Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the Royal University of Phnom Penh. As an actor, Rotanak has achieved international recognition by winning the Short Film Jury Award in International Fiction at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival in the United States for the film, “Grandma Nai Who Played Favorites”.

នៅលើផ្នែកសំដែង លោកបានទទួលពានរង្វាន់ Short Film Jury Award ផ្នែក International Fiction នៅកម្មវិធីមហោស្រពភាពយន្តអន្តរជាតិ Sundance ឆ្នាំ ២០២៥ នៅសហរដ្ឋអាមេរិក។
លោករតនៈបានដាក់តាំងស្នាដៃគំនូរលើកដំបូង ជាលក្ខណៈពិពរណ៌គំនូរទោលដែលមានចំណងជើងថា “ជាលិកា” នៅវិចិត្រសាលស្រាអាត ក្នុងខែឧសភា ឆ្នាំ២០២៤ ដោយទទួលបានការចាប់អារម្មពីសាធារណៈជនជាច្រើន។បន្ទាប់មក ក្នុងខែកក្កដា លោកបានចូលរួមការដាក់តាំងពិពរណ៌គំនូរចម្រុះជាលក្ខណៈក្រុម ដែលហៅថា “វដ្តជីវិត” នៅសាលពិពរណ៌ វីឡា។លោកមានកិត្តិយសត្រូវបានទស្សនាវត្តី Prestige Cambodia យកទៅចុះផ្សាយក្នុងនាមជាសិល្បករវ័យក្មេងមួយរូប ដែលកំពុងលូតលាស់ក្នុងវិស័យគំនូរឌីជីថល។
ក្រោយមកនៅក្នុងខែ វិច្ឆិកា ឆ្នាំ២០២៤ លោករតនៈក៏បានចូលរួមរចនាប្រតិទិនប្រចាំឆ្នាំ ២០២៥ របស់សណ្ឋាគាររ៉ូសវូដផងដែរ។ក្នុងដើមឆ្នាំ២០២៥ លោករតនៈបានទទួលជ័យលាភីលេខ១ផ្នែកគំនូរឌីជីថល ក្នុងការប្រកួតគំនូរចម្រុះ ឈ្មោះថា “ឯករាជ្យ” រៀបចំដោយសណ្ឋាគារ សូហ្វីតែលភូគីត្រា ដែលទទួលបានការស្ងើចសសើរពីគណកម្មការ និង ទស្សនិកជនជាច្រើន។ លោកក៏ទទួលបានចំណាត់ថ្នាក់លេខ២ ក្នុងការប្រកួតគំនូរចម្រុះ ដែលហៅថា “Color Outside the Line” ដែលរៀបចំដោយក្រុមការងារ Human of Phnom Penh។ ក្រោយមក លោករតនៈក៏ត្រូវបានជ្រើសរើសជាសិល្បករមួយរូប ក្នុងចំណោមសិល្បករជាង៣០រូប ដើម្បីចូលរួមក្នុងការដាក់តាំងពិពរណ៌គំនូរចម្រុះមួយ
ដែលហៅថា “On being a Woman” រៀបរៀងនិងគាំទ្រដោយ សភាពាណិជ្ជកម្មអាមេរិកនៅកម្ពុជា (AmCham)កាលពីខែមិថុនាឆ្នាំ២០២៥ នៅវិចិត្រសាលនៃសារមន្ទីរព្រះស្រីឦសានវរ្ម័ន។
