Drawing from the iconic imagery of the Angkor Thom gates and the epic Churning of the Ocean of Milk, this piece represents divine commitment amidst disaster. The calm green and blue hues capture the god’s seemingly good-natured cooperation with the demons to find the elixir of immortality. In juxtaposition, the warm oranges and reds emit embers of his unseen trial: to save the gods from extinction.
